Murphy's Baby Law #1

No matter how long you wait to change him, your newborn will poop 2 minutes after receiving a fresh diaper.

Having read your previous post on a similar topic, and now this one, I only have one thing to say, and it's the first three sentences of Joyce's Ulysses:

***

Stately, plump Buck Mulligan came from the stairhead, bearing a bowl of lather on which a mirror and a razor lay crossed. A yellow dressinggown, ungirdled, was sustained gently behind him by the mild morning air. He held the bowl aloft and intoned:

-- Introibo ad altare Dei.

You callin' me plump? Oh well, I guess if it's OK if I get stately along with it.

Trust me Frère Nick, ain't nothing mild about this morning air.

Ah, but since your son seems to be responsible for the morning air, I am calling him both stately and plump. Quite a compliment for a baby, methinks.

Wow, that is a great image. Maybe I can get Mama-Lu to embroider that passage onto a onesie.
